After a brief dry lull of about one day, the rain seems to be back with a vengeance. Here’s a picture post with our things to do on a rainy day. What do you like to do when it rains?

There were a number of places I could or should have been this weekend, but in the end having fun family time is always a winner.
As a child, until I was seven, we lived in a cul-de-sac, where there were quite a lot of children. We all played out together from a young age – I’m pretty sure at least three, possibly earlier.
When you have two children reasonably close in age, I think you can end up relying on them to play with each other. They do play together a lot, of course, which is lovely (apart from the times they get into disputes over ownership of toys, or who’s first, or best, or strongest…), but they do need time with us, too.
