Holiday Projects
It’s Thursday of Book Week and I hope you’ve been enjoying the week so far – Monday was all about American fiction, Tuesday was about books for the children (activity books, an adventure book series and phonics activity books), Wednesday was about new books for you and today we’re looking at books to help you with those big (or small) holiday projects.
Although I use the internet a lot for researching projects and getting tutorials, I still can’t shake off my need to have a book or two to guide me through something new – whether that be learning about something (see Saturday’s Holiday Learning theme for more on that) or developing a new skill or embarking on a new project. The summer holidays – if you have time off, of course – can be an ideal time to try something new out. You might want to redecorate a room (or even the whole house), try out some new recipes, go on a diet, sort the garden out or, if you’re expecting a baby, you might just want to put your feet up and read a few pregnancy and parenting books.
Today we’ll be bringing you some posts that will hopefully inspire you to dive into your own holiday project – or at least to enjoy curling up on the sofa to plan it, even if you don’t get round to doing it (that’s usually what I do!)
