Fly Away
Well, it’s the last day of Book Week. I hope you’ve enjoyed the week and have got some good book recommendations or just had an interesting read.
Today’s theme is Fly Away. However, it looks like most people read blogs and websites about travelling these days, as we have no guest posts on travelling.
I still like to have a guidebook to flick through on the way to a holiday destination, and while there, but I no longer need to take two or three each time. My preferred guide books these days are Lonely Planet and Dorling Kindersley’s Eye Witness Travel Guides and I still have a fondness for Rough Guides. But, as with so many other things, I will do a lot of research online first. Until the roaming data rates are better, though, I’ll still take a guide book and a map with me.
While we don’t have any guest posts about books to help with travelling or emigrating, we do have a guest post from the author of a new book on sun safety, which might prove useful to read before you go off to sunny climes (or if you’re staying put and the warm weather that put in an appearance today sticks around).
And then, of course, there’s the giveaway post – to finish up Book Week. We have quite a few good giveaways this week, so keep an eye out for that.
