Giveaway: Nitwatch

It’s my birthday today and to celebrate I have two giveaways for you.

Vosene have recently developed a range of preventative nit hair care, designed to repel nits. We’ve had some for a while and so far Rosemary (and the rest of us) have stayed nit free, though I keep forgetting to use it, so I can’t promise that it’s thanks to Vosene!

Great idea, though, and I much prefer the idea of keeping the little horrors away, rather than having to go through the whole chemical treatment palaver.

So far, Rosemary has been fortunate enough to avoid any infestations, despite there being reports of nits at nursery school and at school. I hope we can continue to stay nit-free because I really don’t like them.

When I brought Rosemary home from hospital (after a gruelling week in SCBU), I also brought a bunch of lice home with me. It took us a while to realise (you expect it with schoolchildren, but not babies), so by the time we did notice they had well and truly taken over. Chris got a worse deal than me, because he has thick, luxurious hair – i.e. lots more space for them to crawl around. We had to find a safe treatment, because I was breastfeeding Rosemary at the time and it took a couple of treatments to fully get rid of them. I would love to never have to go through that again!
